The Kenyan community is mourning the death of a 33-year-old Kenyan, Victor Kiprotich, who died on July 20 following a tragic road accident in Australia.
In a statement issued on July 21, The Kenyan Diaspora Media confirmed that Kiprotich lost his life in the crash, which occurred along the Pacific Motorway near Loganholme in Queensland at around 6:00 p.m.
According to the details, Victor Kiprotich was living in Algester, Brisbane, at the time of the accident. His death has left family, friends and the wider Kenyan community in shock.
“The Kenyan community is mourning the loss of 33-year-old Victor Kiprotich, who died following a tragic road accident along the Pacific Motorway near Loganholme, Australia, at around 6:00 p.m. yesterday,” the statement confirmed.
No further information about the circumstances leading to the accident has been provided.

Sheila Jepkorir Chebii was a young Kenyan student who had recently secured admission to pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting at the Canterbury Institute of Management in Sydney, Australia.
According to a family obituary, she passed away on May 17, 2026, in Sydney, and the obituary described her as bright, hardworking, and ambitious.

Kenya Confirms Death of National in Sydney Australia
The Kenya High Commission in Canberra confirmed the death of Ms. Sheila Chebii, a Kenyan national who died in Australia.
In a press statement issued on May 25, 2026, the mission said it was working with Australian authorities to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and obtain verified information.
The High Commission conveyed condolences to the family, friends, and the Kenyan community in Australia.
It also urged the public to avoid speculation and the spread of unverified information while investigations and coronial processes continue.
The mission said it would provide updates when officially confirmed details become available to the public.

25-Year-Old Kenyan Wanted Over Outstanding Arrest Warrants
In a separate incident, Australian police have launched a public appeal to help trace a 25-year-old Kenyan national wanted over outstanding arrest warrants in Sydney.
The wanted man has been identified as Able Kimutai, with authorities saying he is being sought in connection with warrants issued in Bankstown, Sydney.
Police have urged anyone with information about his whereabouts to contact Crime Stoppers, noting that information can be provided anonymously.
Authorities have not disclosed the offenses linked to the outstanding warrants, saying investigations are still ongoing.
