VIP Guests At Billionaire Mary Wambui’s Son Wedding [PHOTOS]

First Lady Rachel Ruto was among the high-profile guests who graced the wedding of the son of billionaire and businesswoman Mary Wambui.

Mary Wambui is also the chairperson of the Communications Authority.

Her son, Kamau wedded Nyambura in a lavish traditional ceremony held in Kiambu county on Saturday, December 9, 2023.

Notably, the bride was dolled up in a brown dress with white detailing in the skirt, trail and the off-shoulder neckline. 

On the other hand, the groom was downed in a brown ‘Kaunda suit’ with white embroidery and details on the shirt.

VIP Guests at the Ceremony

Other high-profile guests present at the traditional wedding ceremony included Government Spokesperson Isaac Mwaura, who was spotted exchanging pleasantries with the first lady. 

Additionally, among the hundreds of guests also was Equity Bank Chairman James Mwangi, who met with Mwaura and other guest for a brief conversation.

“Dr. James Mwangi, the founder and Chairman, Equity Bank is a great example of what determination can do.

“Drawing some words of wisdom from him. His companies are now multinational,” Mwaura wrote about meeting the Equity Bank boss. 

Also, Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria and Digital strategist Dennis Itumbi graced the beautiful ceremony.

At the same time, Kiharu Member of Parliament Ndindi Nyoro and Gatundu South Member of Parliament Gabriel Kagombe were also spotted at the event. 

The Wedding 

Kamau and Wambui took to the dance floor for their first dance as the guests remained seated clapping and cheering for them. 

The first lady was spotted heartily clapping for the young couple as they continued with their dance. 

In addition, the bridal team walked in with dance and smiles, all wearing long brown dresses with intricate details of white beads, as per the Kikuyu tradition. 

After the officiation, the couple presented their marriage certificate before their guests raising it up with pride. A sign of a successful ending to the ceremony and beautiful beginning to their marriage life. 

Recent High-profile Weddings 

Earlier, on November 18, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua led the negotiations at the traditional wedding of Mathira Member of Parliament Eric Wamumbi and Muranga Woman Representative Betty Maina.

Also, Nominated Senator Karen Nyamu, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, Kapsaret MP Oscar Sudi, and Langata MP Phelix Odiwuor (Jalang’o) were among those who attended the traditional wedding.

Other leaders present included Mumias East MP Peter Salasya, Mwala MP Vincent Musyoka, and South Mugirango MP Silvanus Osoro.
