Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has called out Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua for demanding that he is addressed in his office over the Limuru 3 conference.
Speaking during a media interview on Thursday, May 16, the vocal CS said that it was unrealistic for the deputy president to make such demands, yet he was elected to serve the people.
According to Kuria, it should not be an issue to leave the office to go and listen to the concerns of Kenyans. He said that he disagreed with the DP on the matter adding that if the Azimio leaders, who were also the organizers of the event called him, he would go.
“I don’t agree with him because we were elected by the people to solve their issues. if Martha Karua or Jeremiah Kioni calls me to his house today, I will go out of respect. They don’t have to come to me.
“The solutions of this country have no forwarding address. This country has so many problems and we need all of us. You can’t tell me to come and see you when I have a problem. Who are you? I don’t agree with that,” he said.

Kuria on Billions Spent on The Limuru III Meeting
At the same time, the CS revealed that the Mount Kenya region event has received sponsorship of about Ksh10 million from an individual he declined to name.
According to him, those attending the event should get incentives because there was more than enough money for everyone.
The organizers led by Narc Kenya party leader Martha Karua and Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni, announced that the Friday, May 17 conference would be held to provide solutions to issues affecting the Mt Kenya region.
Also, they invited all leaders from the region including Deputy President (DP) Rigathi Gachagua and former president Uhuru Kenyatta to the much-anticipated meeting.
“There are people sponsoring Limuru three, I know someone who has put Ksh10 million in it. I want to tell people who are attending Limuru 3 please don’t go hungry, there is money,” added Kuria.
Limuru 3 impact on nation Politics
Political pundits who spoke to The Kenya Times, including Martin Andati said the planned conference will have no impact on Mt Kenya and the national politics.
According to him, Karua and Kioni are seeking political relevance because they currently have no stake in the politics. However, he noted that the meeting would have had a bigger impact if former President uhuru Kenyatta were to take part in it.
“It has zero impact to the politics of Mt Kenya, Karua and Kioni have zero impact. They are basically seeking relevance, but the reality is that that they don’t have any serious impact on the mountain,” he said.
“You saw it even during the LSK elections, they pretended that they could anoint a Mt Kenya candidate when the elections were held, they lost almost all the political elections including Nyeri to Faith Odhiambo,” he said.
