Roots Party presidential running mate in 2022 Justina Wamae silenced Winnie Odinga, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s daughter.
Taking to her X account, Wamae reacted to Winnie Odinga’s post asking Kenyans to leave his father alone.
“Si ulimtuma Bondo? Achana na Babangu,” posted Winnie Odinga. This loosely translates to “You sent him to Bondo? Leave my father alone”.
While reacting to this post, Wamae alleged that Raila was bribed during his meeting with President William Ruto in Mombasa.
“Wakenya sio wajinga bwana! Baba yako alikula kule Mombasani, Akule pole pole,” tweeted Wamae.
This can be translated to “Kenyans are not stupid, your dad already ‘ate” in Mombasa. Let him do that peacefully”.
Prior to her reply to Winnie Odinga, Wamae tweeted that the 21st century is the age of transparent leadership.
“A win by the president this year is the handshake he had with former prime minister in Mombasa, the country became peaceful,” said Wamae.
However, she predicted that nothing much will be achieved regarding making life easier for the ordinary Kenyan.
“There will be a massive amassing of wealth (your taxes) that will be used in 2026 to move the ground, for church contributions and to buy off the opposition,” she said.
President Ruto held a secret meeting with Raila Odinga and Nigerian former President Olusegun Obasanjo on July 29 in Mombasa.

Gachagua on Ruto-Odinga Mombasa Meeting
Deputy President (DP) Rigathi Gachagua also made similar accusations about the meeting between Ruto and Raila.
Speaking on August 22, in Machakos County, Gachagua said Raila made three demands during the Mombasa meeting.
Gachagua dismissed the bipartisan talks as a waste of time stating that Raila promised to stop protests if his demands are met.
“Nothing will come out of those talks. It is a waste of time. I’m telling you as deputy president of the Republic of Kenya,” he said.
According to Gachagua, Raila demanded that he be given three ambassadorial positions and a handshake.
However, Gachagua said all the demands were declined and that they only offered Raila a send-off package provided he retires from politics.

“There is nothing Raila is looking for, he wanted a share of the government, a handshake and three ambassadorial positions but we refused. We only offered to give him some small money that he can use when he retires,” said Gachagua.
Gachagua did not mention whether the sendoff package was given to Raila or not.
