Former U.S President Barack Obama has shared his annual list of favorite books, movies, and music as 2024 comes to an end.
Obama named 25 music hits that he has been listening throughout the year and asked for more recommendations.
“Here are my favorite songs from this year! Check them out if you’re looking to shake up your playlist – and let me know if there’s a song or artist I should make sure to listen to,” he said.
Among his top picks are “Squabble Up” by Kendrick Lamar and “Lunch” by Billie Eilish.
He also listed Central Cee ft Lil Baby in “Band4Band”, Ezra Collective and Yazmin Lacey’s upbeat “God Gave Me Feet for Dancing’, Rema’s “Yayo” and Tyla, Gunna & Skillibeng’s “Jump”.
Others are Ramblin by The Red Clay Strays, Favourite by Fontaines D.C, Active by Asake & Travis Scott’s and Shaboozey’s hit “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”
Obama also enjoyed Old Dutch by Bonny Light Horseman, Rae Khalil’s “Is It Worth It” and Texas Hold ‘Em by Beyoncé’s.
Jordan Adetunji’s “Kehlani,” Artemas’s “I Like the Way You Kiss Me,” and Johnny Blue Skies’ “Scooter Blues” are also in the list.
He recommended Hozier’s “Too Sweet”, Leon Bridges’ “Peaceful Place” and Tommy Richman’s “Million Dollar Baby.”
Obama included Right Back to It by Waxahatchee & MJ Lenderman, Stargazing by Myles Smith and Jack White’s “That’s How I’m Feeling”
Rounding out his favorites are “Gold Coast” by Moses Sumney and Latin-infused tracks like Karol G’s “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido” and FloyyMenor & Cris MJ’s “Gata Only”.

Barack Obama Favorite Movies
Obama revealed his ten favorite movies for the ending year.
“Here are a few movies I’d recommend checking out this year,” he said.

They include All We Imagine as Light, Conclave, The Piano Lesson, The Promised Land and The Seed of The Sacred Fig
Others are Dune: Part 2, Anora, Didi, Sugarcane and A Complete Unknown.

Some of the books Obama read in 2024 include The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt, Intermezzo by Sally Rooney, Patriot by Alexei Navalny and Orbital by Samantha Harvey.
The Anthropologists by Ayşegül Savaş, Stolen Pride by Arlie Russell Hochschild and In Ascension by Martin MacInnes also featured in Obama’s.
Obama also picked Growth by Daniel Susskind, Someone Like Us by Dinaw Mengestu and The Work of Art by Adam Moss.
“I’ll start by sharing some of the books that have stuck with me long after I finished reading them. Check them out this holiday season, preferably at an independent bookstore or library!” Obama remarked.
