Renowned American contemporary Muslim preacher Sheikh Uthman Ibn Farooq, based in San Diego, California, is reportedly eyeing a mayoral position in Texas.
According to Amy Mek, the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the RAIR Foundation, Sheikh Uthman allegedly plans to run for the position, describing New York City as “the dry run,” referring to the election of Zohran Mamdani, a Muslim politician, for the first time.
“NYC was the dry run. Your state is the target,” said Amy Mek.
In her investigations, Amy claimed that Sheikh Uthman Ibn Farooq, born in Pakistan, is reportedly relocating to Texas “not to assimilate, but to transform.”
“In my investigations, I learned that Sheikh Uthman Ibn Farooq, born in Pakistan, is reportedly moving to Texas. He is not here to assimilate. He is here to transform,” she alleged.
Amy Mek Claims Sheikh Uthman is Relocating to Texas
Amy Mek, an American activist and vocal critic of Islam, further stated that she would not allow what she calls a “takeover,” vowing to expose any elected officials or bureaucrats who, in her view, enable it.
“I will be publicly reporting every elected official and bureaucrat who enables this takeover. No more platitudes are given; our public servants must answer for allowing this invasion to proceed. Enough empty promises. Demand action now,” said Amy.

The activist’s criticism stems from some of Sheikh Uthman’s past statements made during public appearances in Australia, where he emphasized the global spread of Islam.
“Know this, Islam will enter every house. Don’t worry about the Islamophobes; they can say what they want, their children will be Muslim,” Sheikh Uthman said in one of his speeches.
Amy’s statement comes hours after Zohran Kwame Mamdani was elected as the first Muslim mayor of New York City on November 4, 2025. The 34-year-old Democratic socialist and New York State Assembly member defeated independent candidate Andrew Cuomo (former governor) by about 9 percentage points and Republican Curtis Sliwa, who trailed far behind.
