Asad before his death had been fighting for his life at the High Dependency Unit at the Avenue Hospital in Nairobi for almost one week.
Moreover, the family at some point even asked for blood as he had lost a lot following injuries he had sustained in his Kileleshwa house in a squabble with his girlfriend Maxine Wahome.
Maxine, who is also a rally driver, was arrested over the incident but later released on bail.
Likewise, while speaking during an exclusive interview with a local newspaper, Asad’s brother Adil reported that his brother died twice before he finally took his very last breath.
According to Adil, Asad had lost a lot of blood after the incident on Tuesday, December 13 morning, he had marks on his head, scratches on the neck and part of his right ear was swollen.
Adil further added that the doctors at Avenue Hospital after examining his brother noticed that he had a punctured lung which forced them to perform a procedure to drain water and vacuum from his lungs.
Upon further examination, the doctors informed the family that Asad’s organs were failing, including his liver, kidney and pancrease.
Nonetheless, Adil noted that Maxine injured Asad after she allegedly returned home drunk from a dinner party she had attended.
Ms. Maxine Wahome, however, told the police that her lover was injured in an altercation with her after she came home late in the morning.
