The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) nominated Crystal Asige, a former member of Sol – Generation to the senate on Wednesday, July 27.
Asige has been fronted to represent persons with a disability according to a list before the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

A former member of Sauti Sol’s Sol-Generation, Asige has been nominated alongside Kakiri Ochieng.
Crystal rose to fame as the first female on the premium label, sol Generation.

ODM’s National Elections Board Chairperson Catherine Mumma and Hezena Lemaletian aptly called ‘Queen Of the North’ are among other notable people nominated to Parliament by the party.

Director of Membership Rosemary Kariuki and former Nominated Senator Harold Kipchumba also feature in the list of nominees Capital News has reported.
UDA on the other hand has nominated incumbent Laikipia County Woman Rep Cate Waruguru, former Starehe MP Charles Njaguar, and Fredrick Muteti to the National Assembly while UDA Secretary Veronica Nduati, incumbent Narok County Woman Rep Sopian Tuya, incumbent Kajiado East MP Peris Tobiko, former Bomet County Woman Rep Joyce Korir and Karen Nyamu are among the nominees to the Senate.
Journalist Elizabeth Kanini is among Wiper Party’s 5 nominees to the National Assembly while former Lamu County Woman Rep Shakila Mohammed and incumbent nominated Senator Sylvia Kasanga to make up the Kalonzo Musyoka led party’s list of six nominees to the Senate.
The Amani National Congress (ANC) has nominated veteran journalist and Musalia Mudavadi’s private press secretary Kabisu Kabatesi and Nominated Senator Petronila to Parliarment. .
