Noor Gabow is a former Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of the Administration Police.

Career
Throughout his career, Noor Gabow has participated in several significant security missions both locally and internationally, which have contributed to his rise through the ranks.
In November 1999, when he was the Officer Commanding at Parklands Police Station (OCS), he successfully addressed “routine weekend robberies” at the Kenya Commercial Bank’s Sarit Centre branch.
He discovered that these alleged robberies were being carried out by the bank’s staff and was able to recover the stolen money.
His efforts in addressing these robbery issues greatly impacted his career, leading to his appointment as the Deputy Officer Commanding of the Gigiri Police Division (OCPD).

Gabow’s expertise led him to be appointed by the United Nations for a peacekeeping mission. With approval from Vigilance House, he was sent to Sierra Leone for five years to help reform the country’s police force.
Following this, he was deployed to Bosnia, where he was responsible for training the police after years of civil war.
After completing this mission, he headed the UN Police Reforms Africa Desk in New York for seven years.
In September 2017, he became the Commandant of the Kenya Police College in Kiganjo and was later promoted to Deputy Inspector General of the Administration Police Service the following year.
One of Gabow’s notable contributions to the country was restoring order, which enabled the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Chairman Wafula Chebukati to announce the presidential results of the August 2022 General Election.
He is also credited for providing more training opportunities for female officers.

Gabow holds a Master of Governance, Peace and Security Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Penology from the International Academy Bramshill of the National Police Improvement Agency in the UK.
