Mombasa High Court has dismissed Pastor Ezekiel Odero’s application to unfreeze his bank accounts and television channel.
According to the High Court Judge Olga Sewe, the application to allow the embattled pastor access over fifteen of his bank accounts was entirely misconceived.
As such, the judge refrained from reviewing orders given by a Magistrate Court in Nairobi.
Moreover, the High Court dismissed an application to have Pastor Ezekiel Odero’s TV license restored, noting that the petitioners should have exhausted all the legal channels with Communication Authority (CA), the regulator, before coming to court.
Nonetheless, pastor Odero has been accused of being linked to the Kilifi cult in Shakahola forest where over 210 bodies have been exhumed from mass graves.

The pastor was arrested after Paul Mackenzie who led a sect registered as the Good News International Church was detained.
Ezekiel Odero is also being probed on several charges including murder, aiding suicide, abduction, radicalization, crimes against humanity, child cruelty, fraud, and money laundering.
According to the Prosecutors, there is credible information linking the corpses exhumed at Shakahola to the deaths of several “innocent and vulnerable followers” from Ezekiel Odero’s New Life Prayer Centre and Church.
