Guardian Angel Bus and Nyamira Express are among the two companies offering both passenger and courier services across various regions in Kenya. The Companies were owned by the late businessman Ong’era Moturi.
He took over the running of the family business from his father, Nahashon Ong’era Omote.
Omote started with only three buses, but the number has grown massively.
With both coaches and tablets hitting the road, the Company covers several routes in Kenya.
Besides the passengers, Guardian offers parcel services targeting both corporate and individual customers who may wish to send their packages from counter to counter.
Customers can send a parcel from any of our destinations to other destinations and advise their consignee to collect it from our counter by presenting the necessary identification.
Guardian Angel Routes & Destinations
Guardian Angel serves numerous destinations.
It started off plying the Nairobi-Nakuru-Kericho-Kisumu-Mbale-Kakamega-Nairobi route.
Guardian has since expanded to several other towns and centres, including Siaya, Migori, Mbale, Eldoret, Webuye, Busia, Malaba, Bondo, Kakamega, Nyamira and Keroka.
It also has buses travelling to Jinja and Kampala in Uganda.

Booking & Payment Options
- Online Booking: Guardian tickets can be booked through their official website theguardian.co.ke.
- Mobile App: The Guardian Coach has an Android app available on the Google Play Store, allowing users to search schedules, select seats, and pay via MPESA.
- In-Person Booking: Tickets can also be purchased at their booking offices, such as the River Road office in Nairobi.

Ownership & Other Businesses
The Company is owned by Moturi’s family after he passed away in 2019.
His son, Julius Mokaya Ong’era, took over the running of the business and serves as the Executive Director of Guardian Angel – representing the third generation of the family to run the operation.
The family also owns the Guardian Hotel and Mwamoturi Hardware in Nyamira.
The Hotel, one of the largest and most popular in Nyamira, boasts a modern, stylish design, well-appointed amenities, and beautifully manicured green spaces.
Its standout features make it a top choice for meetings and events across the county.
