The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has pledged to maintain operations against Hezbollah, noting that it will not compromise on northern security.
On April 8, Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, Chief of the General Staff, said the army will continue to target the group, utilizing every opportunity to strike.
“We will continue striking the Hezbollah terror organization and will utilize every operational opportunity. We will not compromise the security of the residents of northern Israel. We will continue to strike with determination,” Eyal Zamir said.
IDF also gave an update that it carried out the largest coordinated strike across Lebanon since the start of Operation Roaring Lion, hitting over 100 Hezbollah sites in Beirut, Beqaa, and southern Lebanon.
The strike targeted intelligence command centers and central headquarters used for planning attacks, missile-launching infrastructure, including firepower and naval arrays, as well as assets belonging to Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force and aerial units.
At present, 100 Red Cross ambulances are operating in the affected areas of Lebanon, with teams actively transporting injured individuals to nearby hospitals.
Overnight, the IDF carried out a series of strikes targeting missile launch sites and launchers across Iran, aiming to reduce the country’s missile capabilities, before it received directives on the ceasefire.
