The National Police Service Commission (NPSC) has issued a clarification regarding the online application process for the nationwide police recruitment exercise scheduled for October 3 to 9, 2025, across 416 centers nationwide.
While appearing before the Parliamentary Committee on Delegated Legislation on Tuesday, 23 September 2025, the Commission addressed concerns from committee members about plans to conduct the process entirely online, noting that it could disadvantage many young people without internet access.
In response, the Commission explained that the recruitment will be conducted through a hybrid system.
NPSC to Accommodate Candidates Who Are Unable to Apply Online in Police Recruitment
NPSC Chief Executive Officer Peter Leley assured applicants that those unable to apply online would be assisted physically at the centers.
“We will not discriminate against anyone. Our officers will have gadgets on the ground to help applicants complete the process,” Leley stated.

At the same time, the Commission assured Committee members led by Chairperson Ainabkoi MP Samuel Chepkong’a that the upcoming recruitment process will be free and fair, stating that the new regulations that have been rolled out in the upcoming police recruitment are meant to streamline the process, promote transparency, and ensure a merit-based system that strengthens public trust.
“We want to assure the nation that the exercise will be free, fair, and transparent. Officers supervising recruitment will take an oath of integrity and will be held personally responsible if they break the law,” said Dr. Amani Yuda Komora, Chairperson of the Commission.
