KRA Announces Opportunities Paying KSh7K for University Students in 3rd and 4th Years

The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has announced attachment opportunities for continuing undergraduate and final-year Diploma students for its May to July 2026 intake.

In a statement on February 21, KRA said the opportunities are aimed at students who want to sharpen their skills and advance their careers.

“We are offering Industrial Attachment opportunities across various departments to help you gain practical experience and strengthen your career edge,” the statement read.

The deadline for applications, according to KRA, is March 6, 2026, and all submissions must be made online in accordance with the official application guidelines.

Students can only apply after registering on KRA’s e-recruitment portal. Incomplete applications will not be considered, and only selected candidates will be contacted.

The authority also noted that it does not charge any fee for the attachment process, and the programme will not be extended beyond the stated dates.

Meanwhile, selected students will receive a monthly stipend of Ksh7,000, subject to statutory deductions.

Selected Candidates will be required to provide proof of a valid Personal Accident Insurance cover, copies of their KRA PIN, NHIF or SHIF, NSSF, National identification card, and bank account details.

According to the authority, opportunities are available within various Support Services departments including:

•  Supply Chain Management, Human Resource Management, Marketing & Communication
• Communications, International Relations, Diplomacy, Public Relations
•   Media Studies, Photography, Videography, Film Production, Animation
•  ICT, Telecommunications

How to Apply

Students interested in the KRA Industrial Attachment Programme must submit their applications online through the Authority’s e-recruitment portal. The following are steps to follow when applying ;

1. Registration: Visit the KRA official website, log in, and click ‘Register’ to start the process. After registering, check your email to confirm your address and complete registration.

1. Log In: Return to the website and enter your username and password, and click ‘Log in’. The system will open the Applicant page.
2. In the Applicant dashboard, go to the ‘Candidate Profile’ tab and click ‘My Profile’, and follow the instructions to create or update your profile. Complete the process by clicking ‘Overview and Release’ and checking the box to finalize your profile.
3. Return to the dashboard and click the ‘Employment Opportunities’ tab, and under ‘Job Search’, click ‘Start’ to view available positions. later select the job posting to view its details, then click ‘Apply’.

During the application process, complete all mandatory fields, review the Data Privacy Statement, and click ‘Send Application Now’ to submit.
