REA Vipingo Plantations Limited has warned the public against individuals and entities impersonating the company and issuing fake Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) and cheques.
In a statement on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, the company clarified that the LPOs and cheques being circulated are fraudulent, unauthorized, and invalid.
“It has come to our attention that certain persons have attempted either to impersonate ourselves or represent themselves as our agents,” reads the statement.
The public has been advised to exercise caution and to verify the authenticity of any LPO or communication purported to be issued by or on behalf of the company before engaging in any transaction.
How to Verify REA Vipingo LPOs and Payments
REA Vipingo has urged the public, suppliers, and service providers to remain vigilant when dealing with any LPOs, cheques, or communications claiming to be from the company.
It stated that it does not issue LPOs or cheques through unauthorized individuals and that all procurement and payment processes are conducted strictly through its official offices and designated officers.
“REA Vipingo Plantations Ltd does not issue LPOs or cheques through unauthorized persons and conducts all procurement and payment processes strictly via our official offices and designated officers only,” the statement added.

The company also revealed that Wigglesworth & Co Limited is its official marketing agent, noting that all payments should only be made to Wigglesworth & Co Limited’s bank account in London.
REA Vipingo warned that any fraudulent documents should be treated as invalid and that the company will not be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from transactions based on such documents.
“Customers and prospective customers are advised that payments should only be made to the bank account of Wigglesworth & Co Limited in London and that they should personally telephone either Paula Brazier or Darren Deeks at the above number to obtain the relevant details,” the statement read.
Members of the public have therefore been urged to verify the authenticity of any LPO, cheque, or communication through REA Vipingo’s official communication channels before proceeding with any transactions.
