Former Kenya Medical Supplies Authority (KEMSA) and ex-KICC Chairman Irungu Nyakera has declared his interest in the Nairobi County gubernatorial seat in the 2027 elections.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Nixon Njau of The Kenya Times, Nyakera shared his vision for transforming Nairobi, emphasizing the need for good leadership and improved governance to address Nairobi’s challenges.
A seasoned manager and a former Principal Secretary, Nyakera criticized Governor Johnson Sakaja, accusing him of mismanaging county resources and failing to address critical issues affecting residents.
