Revered news anchor Catherine Kasavuli has come out to thank Kenyans who donated blood and have been praying for her ever since her cancer diagnosis was made public.
Kasavauli who was admitted to the Kenyatta National Hospital about three days ago disclosed the past few months have not been easy for her, but she is thankful for the people who have been close to her.
In a long social media post shared via her Instagram account, Catherine Kasavuli also used the opportunity to thank each and every one who helped in raising funds for her hospital bills.
The journalist took her time to wish everyone well, especially those suffering from the same disease as she disclosed, she is hopeful she will overcome it.
Catherine posted a photo of a flower bouquet, followed by the caption;
”Last one month has really been crazy for me, I want to take this moment and appreciate my family, colleagues in the media industry, Catherine Kasavuli Foundation team, my doctors, friends, strangers, and online community; I wish I could respond to all your messages; I see them, and I’m really humbled. May God remember you.
To special people that have come forth to donate blood may God bless you, may he enrich your beautiful souls, and may He meet the desires of your heart. To special souls that are contributing towards my medical bill, I love you so much and God bless you.
It’s not an easy journey but I believe in God’s faithfulness and breakthrough. To anyone fighting the same struggle – I love you, we shall overcome, life is a beautiful thing, and we shall live to tell our stories.

Her ‘Thank You’ note touched the hearts of many Kenyans online who camped in the comments section of her post to wish her a quick recovery.
News of Kasavuli’s admission was first shared by a Kenyatta National Hospital, through a donation request form sighted by The Kenya Times.
The hospital authorised the bearer of the note to ask for blood on her behalf.
