The Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has invited applications for its industrial attachment program for the September to November 2025 intake.
Kenya Power in a notice on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, said the opportunities are targeted at continuing students pursuing degree, diploma, or craft certificate courses in both technical and non-technical fields.
The industrial attachment opportunities are available in various departments.
According to the utility company, the attachment program is designed to provide hands-on experience and exposure to real work environments, in line with the government’s commitment to support youth empowerment.
“Are you a continuing student ready to kickstart your career journey? Kenya Power is offering industrial attachment opportunities for the Sept–Nov 2025 intake! Whether you’re pursuing a degree, diploma, or craft certificate in a technical or non-technical field, this is your chance to gain hands-on experience with us,” said KPLC.

Kenya Power industrial attachments
To be eligible, applicants must be available on a full-time basis during the entire attachment period of 3 months.
They are required to be pursuing a degree, diploma, or craft certificate and be enrolled in an accredited learning institution.
Also, they must be continuing students and should present a valid introduction letter from their institution.
According to KPLC, for applicants pursuing a degree and diploma, eligible applicants are those enrolled in technical & non-technical programs.
For those pursuing craft certificates, they should be enrolled in electrical & electronics engineering (power option), mechanical/automotive engineering, building & civil engineering, and plumbing programs.

Moreover, those applying for the undergraduate attachment should use attachment reference number KP1/ATTGRAD/25/3.
Diploma attachment applicants on their part should use attachment reference number KP1/ATTDIP/25/3 while craft certificate applicants should use reference number KP1/ATTCERT/25/3.

Interested persons should submit their applications online by visiting the Kenya Power website: (http://www.kplc.co.ke) under the public information tab and career opportunities section.
KPLC noted that the applications should be received not later than Monday, July 28, 2025.
In addition, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted with the utility company warning that canvassing will lead to automatic disqualification.
