President William Ruto has continued with donations even after the Archdiocese of Nairobi rejected his contributions.

Speaking at Interdenominational church service, Kipsitet Primary School, Kericho County, Ruto vowed to continue supporting the Church through gifts.

“We are going to serve God through our contributions. So, we have absolutely no apologies to make as we give to God because He gave us first,” Ruto said.

President Ruto went ahead to donate Ksh15 million to Kipsitet Primary and Secondary Schools.

“This primary school come on Monday or Tuesday; I will give you Ksh5 million. I will give you Ksh10 million for the secondary school,” he said.

Ruto said he will work with the Church leaders in building the places of worship.

He urged other leaders to work with the government and the Church for the benefit of the people.

“The State and the Church are partners in working for the people of Kenya. Let us make sure that partnership is one that has the common interest of the people in our engagements,” he said.

Ruto Announces Plans for Churches

He mentioned that the government plans to complete the several pending Church projects within the County.

The President referred to John 3:16 which documents how God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, for the salvation of man.

“We are going to give for the building of Church and for God’s work because we are a product of giving ourselves. Our salvation is a product of giving, it is God who gave first. That is why we have the privilege to know Christ,” he said.

“Because Gave as an example, we are going to give in keeping so that the word of God can reach others who have not known Him.”

He emphasized that it is more blessing than to receive hence he will continue with the donations.

Ruto said the Church must pray for the country and do its part to ensure things change.

Experience Supporting Church Building

The President explained that he has contributed to building Churches for over 30 years, but he has never lacked.

“I know the secret of giving and what it does. I am a product of giving and I know what I should do, and I will slowly teach others,” he said.

He mentioned that that there are leaders who contribute to Churches because of political competitions.

However, he noted that the intention doesn’t matter as long as they contribute to the work of God.

This comes after Reverend Philip Anyolo announced that Soweto Catholic Church will return the Ksh2.6 million donated by Ruto and declined the Ksh3 million he pledged on Sunday November 17, 2024.
