In a bid to regain control of the former ruling party, embattled Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni has called for a National Delegates Convention (NDC).
The meeting is set to be held on February 24 and 25 at the Kenya International Convention Centre (KICC).
The meeting will address a series of agendas among them receiving and welcoming elected leaders in the August 2022 General Election.
Delegates are also expected to elect party’s national officials to fill in vacant offices.
Kioni got a reprieve after the political parties dispute tribunal stayed his suspension from the arty.

He, Vice Chairperson David Murathe and National Treasurer Kagwe Gichohi had been suspended over what it termed as their conduct of the political outfit’s affairs.
They were suspended on February 10, following the conclusion of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held at the Sarova Woodlands Hotel in Nakuru.
Registrar of Political Parties Ann Nderitu okayed the suspension after she dismissed Kioni’s questions on the legality of Jubilee’s NEC meeting that approved his suspension as the party Secretary General.
He then moved to the political parties dispute tribunal which gave halted the suspension until the case is heard and determined.
