Former presidential running mate candidate Justina Wamae has called on Gen-Zs to shift their protest efforts toward voter registration and active political participation as the 2027 Kenyan elections approach.
Speaking during an interview with Nixon Njau on 21 July 2025 at The Kenya Times, Wamae emphasized that street protests alone are insufficient to effect change. She encouraged Gen Z to join political parties, register to vote, and volunteer as party agents to ensure the integrity of the 2027 vote, to unseat President Ruto.
Wamae also hinted at a possible presidential candidacy in the future but stressed that her primary mission is to transform Kenyans’ approach to politics.
“Let me just tell Kenyans I will be around. My vision is to first change the mindset of Kenyans and how they see politics,” she said.
