Businessman and politician Jimi Wanjigi has spoken for the first time after masked people, who drove in a pick-up, poured blood at the gate of his residence in Muthaiga, Nairobi.
Speaking to the media, Wanjigi complanied of political harassment alleging that individuals in unmarked cars poured blood of unknown animal outside his home.
“Last night, the same vehicles came here, and they poured blood at my gate. They are doing this every single day,” he said.
He also accused the police of using these unmarked cars to trail his movement adding that he will not be intimidated by the threats.
“The other day the blocked a car that had just dropped me somewhere just on this road of Muthaiga and threw eggs are at the windscreen,” he said.
In another press conferemce, Wanjigi called out President William Ruto for using the police to kill and abduct Kenyans.
Wanjigi said the police officers who allegedly shot Baby Pendo after the 2017 general elections will appear in court next month.
“On October 3rd, the alleged killers of Baby Pendo will be in court. The court has insisted that the OCS and those who shot the child in 2017 appear in court for charges of murder,” he said.
He warned the security agencies not to be misused by the government since they will carry their own cross.
“Ruto is using the same police to kill and abduct, to bring back detention without trial. All those officers, from the Inspector General (IG) of Police and heads of those organizations and agencies, know that your day shall come. You shall answer for all these atrocities you are perpetuating on Kenyans,” he said.
Besides, Wanjigi reiterated the ‘Ruto Must Go’ calls, which were raised by Gen-Z during the anti-finance bill protests.
In the incident that happened on Saturday, September 28, Wanjigi’s security guards said the occupants of the pick-up stopped at the gate and poured blood before speeding off.
The guards said the blood was in a basin, and the masked people left before they could identify them.
However, the motive for the incident is yet to be established.

Unmarked Cars Outside His Home
On September 13, Wanjigi had complained that unmarked cars had been parked outside his compound for more than one week.
He said the incident was a direct form of harassment since the vehicles were interfering with his communication.
“Why are unmarked vehicles outside my residence in Muthaiga for the last week? This is clearly harassment of me and my family. This surveillance is unprecedented! These vehicles are jamming all communication to my residence!” he said.
In an update on September 16, he posted another photo of the vehicles with the caption:
“If no one sees you as an enemy, it means you aren’t important enough! If no one sees you as a threat, it means you aren’t strong enough! Ruto must go!”
He also posted another photo in September showing that the vehicles were still parked outside his home.

Wanjigi Home Raided by Police
Wanjigi has recently made headlines, accusing the government of harassment. His home was raided on August 8, following the Gen Z protests, which sparked nationwide demonstrations against the government.
During the raid, the government was cracking down in an attempt to identify those funding the protests.
His wife, Irene Wanjigi, filed an application by his wife and the court issued a ruling barring the police from invading or trespassing on his Muthaiga home pending determination.
