Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Youth League leader Kasmuel Mcoure was forced to leave a TV interview for a few minutes to go and comb his hair.
Kasmuel was live on Spice FM and KTN when he was told he could not go live on the stations while wearing ODM cap.

One of the hosts, Mark Bichachi explained that Standard Media Group (SG) guidelines do not allow guests to wear branded outfits.
“Kasmuel, our editorial guidelines do not allow you to wear branded merchandise. If you do then ODM will have to pay us for your hat, so we ask you to kindly remove it,” Bichachi said.

Kasmule quickly defended himself stating that he wore the hat because he had not combed his hair.
He requested time to comb his hair if he has to remove the hat.

“Because I had not combed my hair, I found myself in a dilemma. Therefore, I think if you give me some time, I will have to go and look for a comb somewhere or excuse myself,” Kasmuel said.
Bichachi went ahead to direct Kasmuel to the station’s makeup room.
“There is a make-up, we will give you a chance to do because we have to be fair to all other political parties,” Bichachi said.
The hosts pleaded with Kasmuel to do it quickly and come back for the interview.
“If I find an afro-comb I shall be back very soon,” Kasmuel responded.

Kasmuel Allowed Back to the Interview
However, Kasmuel was allowed to resume the interview with the ODM hat since he could not find a comb.
“I was told to come back; they could not find a comb. That is beyond my reach,” he said.
He defended his decision to join former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s ODM party.
Why I Joined ODM
Kasmuel dismissed claims that he joined ODM to get positions stating it is the only party which aligns with his beliefs.
“I am not joining the ODM seeking positions. Many people have talked about it,” Kasmuel said.
He gave the example of EFF President Julius Malema who rose from the youth league to become one of the strongest revolutionaries in Africa.
“I just want to be in a place where I can revitalize because a lot of the revolutionary voices that we have in Africa started from problematic youth leagues,” he said.

Additionally, he said the ODM Youth Leagues give the youth a better fighting chance compared to being on the streets.
“It is none of my business to go against Raila. My business is to ensure that in this Youth League the vigor that we had while we were on the streets, ideological, pursuing a better country, good governance, accountability, war against graft, we can keep that fire bringing but in a structured unit,” he said.
Inject party leader Morara Kebaso was also attending the interview.
