President William Ruto’s Senior Advisor Council of Economic Advisors Moses Kuria has revealed that NARC-Kenya Pary Leader Martha Karua and Tujibebe Wakenya Party leader William Kabogo advised impeached Deputy President (DP) Rigathi Gachagua before the 2022 general elections.
In a statement, Kuria said the two alongside PNU party leader Peter Munya, Usawa Kwa Wote party leader Mwangi wa Iria and former Nyeri gubernatorial aspirant Thuo Mathenge told Gachagua to form a political party and not be a member of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.
“Dr Thuo Mathenge No Wanguku, William Kabogo, Peter Munya, Mwangi wa Iria, Martha Karua warned you about going into elections without a political party,” Kuria said.
However, Kuria stated that Gachagua dismissed the Mt. Kenya leaders and ignored their advice.
Kuria Claims Gachagua Fought Them
According to Kuria, Gachagua fought the politicians and chose to be a member of UDA party.
He stated that politicians will not support him now that he has found himself opposed to the government.
“You fought us. Now you want us to cry with you into the opposition, forget it.,” Kuria said.
Additionally, Kuria said the country has moved one and recognizes Prof. Kithure Kindiki as the deputy president.
“We have moved on. Prof Kithure Kindiki is the Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya,” he said.
His revelation came after Gachagua accused President Ruto of frustrating him for the last one year.

Gachagua Attacks Ruto
Speaking after being discharged from Karen Hospital, Gachagua criticized the president for withdrawing his security even after he fell sick.

“It is unfortunate that when I was here in hospital, my brother and president Ruto ordered for the withdrawal of my security from the hospital here. I was here alone without a single officer looking after me,” Gachagua said.
He mentioned that Ruto’s allies were calling the hospital to confirm whether he had died or was recovering.

Additionally, the embattled DP revealed that officers from the National Intelligence Service (NIS) tried to poison his food on two occasions in Kisumu and Nyeri.
He explained that Ruto wanted to push him into getting a stroke and eventually dying like late President Daniel Arap Moi did to Kenneth Matiba.
Gachagua told Kenyans to hold Ruto accountable if anything happens to him or any member of his family.
“I don’t understand but I want the people of Kenya to know that as I go home today, I have no security, and if anything happens to me or my family President Ruto must be held to account,” he said.
