Cabinet Secretary for Labour and Social Protection Alfred Mutua has announced 2,000 job opportunities for Kenyans in Dubai, offering hefty, tax-free salaries.
In a statement on May 23, 2025, the Cabinet Secretary announced that several companies from Dubai, UAE, are hiring. Additionally, job interviews will be conducted in Malindi, Kilifi, Mombasa, and Ukunda.
“Dubai jobs! Jobs! Jobs! 2000 jobs Available. First come, first served. Latecomers will not be considered,” Mutua announced.
The Ministry has outlined specific roles available under the Dubai job openings, along with age requirements for applicants. The positions include:
- Motorcycle Riders (Delivery/Boda Boda Riders): Applicants must be no older than 38 years.
- Helpers: Positions are available for construction and other general work.
- Gardeners (Landscaping): Applicants must be no older than 40 years.
Job Requirements
Motorcycle riders must have either a motorcycle rider’s license or a valid driver’s license. Further, the CS warned the riders, citing that the NTSA will be present to approve and begin issuing licenses to qualifying candidates.
Additionally, all applicants are required to have a valid Kenyan passport or proof of a passport application. For gardeners and helpers, a passport or proof of application will be necessary.
Moreover, the Ministry has advised applicants to maintain good personal presentation, noting that shabby, unclean, or poorly dressed individuals will not be considered.
Candidates are expected to appear smart and professional, with closed shoes being mandatory, as sandals will not be allowed.

Alfred Mutua Announces Tax Free Salaries
Motorcycle riders will earn between Kshs 80,000 and 120,000 per month, with medical insurance and accommodation provided.
Additionally, gardeners will receive a monthly salary ranging from Kshs 31,000 to 45,000, along with medical insurance, accommodation, and food.
Moreover, construction helpers will earn Kshs 35,000 per month, and they will also be provided with medical insurance, accommodation, and food.

Official Support on Site
Additionally, Alfred Mutua stated that there will be officials on site to assist candidates with the application process. These includes, Youth Fund officials, who will provide funding support for air tickets, medical examinations, service fees, attestations, and related expenses.
Moreover, NTSA officials, who will be present to ensure quality assurance and facilitate the licensing of motorcycle riders and DCI officials, who will handle the processing of Certificates of Good Conduct.
Ministry of Labour officials, who will oversee and coordinate the overall recruitment exercise.
