Ukraine’s Armed Forces have reported another significant day of battlefield losses for Russia, confirming that 1,160 Russian soldiers were eliminated in the past 24 hours.
This update raises the total number of Russian personnel lost since the full-scale invasion began in February 2022 to 1,159,420.
Heavy Military Equipment Destroyed
Ukraine’s latest report shows substantial damage to Russia’s military hardware.
According to the update, 17 artillery systems were destroyed, 213 UAVs were taken down, and 72 vehicles were eliminated.
The losses of this equipment have added to the cumulative degradation of Russia’s military capacity.

Ongoing Intense Combat Across the Frontline
The continued loss of Russia shows the ongoing intense fighting being experienced across multiple key areas of the frontline. The launch of frequent attacks by Russian forces is to capture small tactical positions while the Ukrainians respond with precise strikes on artillery, command posts, and supply lines.
This continuous pressure, especially in eastern and southern regions, has contributed to the sharp increase in daily casualties, including the 1,160 Russian personnel reported eliminated in the latest update.
Zelenskyy Warfare and Electronic Battles
Ukrainian officials have shown the growing importance of drones in battlefield outcomes. With 213 Russian UAVs downed in a single day, Ukraine continues to push back against Russia’s attempt to dominate airspace through reconnaissance and kamikaze drones.
Even though electronic warfare systems are heavily active on both ends, Ukraine uses advanced equipment to disrupt Russian drone navigation and communication.
A Conflict Defined by Attrition
As this conflict pushes towards its third year, both Ukraine and Russia remain locked in their draining confrontation. Ukrainian officials say that systematically weakening Russia’s manpower and equipment is essential for slowing enemy advances and maintaining a stable defense.
The latest figures show the ongoing human and material cost of the war, as well as Ukraine’s continued resilience on the battlefield.

In a post via X on 16th November 2025, President Zelensky revealed the scale of the attack on Ukraine. “Overall, last night the Russians launched more than 170 drones against Ukraine, at least half of them “Shaheds.” And throughout this entire week, the Russians launched nearly 1,000 attack drones, almost 980 guided aerial bombs, and 36 missiles,” Zelensky noted.
Zelensky added that the attack targets their people. He also emphasized that each nightly attack requires a “multi-component air defense,” involving missile systems, fighter aircraft, and mobile anti-drone teams in response to the attacks.
