Mike Tyson has been confirmed to be ‘doing great’ by his representative following a medical emergency on Sunday, May 26 while on a flight to Los Angeles.
The 57-year-old reportedly fell nauseous and dizzy mid-flight, causing concern among passengers and crew.

“He became nauseous and dizzy due to an ulcer flare-up 30 minutes before landing. He is appreciative to the medical staff that were there to help him,” she added.
Speaking on Tyson’s behalf, the representative confirmed that the medical scare would not affect Tyson’s upcoming boxing match with Jake Paul scheduled for July 20.

Mike Tyson’s Progressive Health Concerns
Contrary to Tyson’s positive health confirmation via his representatives, the hall of fame boxer has recently received brain trauma warnings from sports doctors worldwide ahead of his Netflix boxing live-stream.
Among the concerned professionals is Nathan Howarth, Development and Operations Director at the Concussion Legacy Foundation UK.
Nathan in an interview with a local media highlighted the potential dangers Tyson faces if he follows through with the fight.
He emphasized the severe risks associated with brain injuries and the long-term impact on the boxer’s health.
According to Howarth, research shows that prolonged exposure to head impacts heightens the risk of conditions like chronic traumatic encephalopathy.
“We know your exposure to head impacts increases your risk of things like chronic traumatic encephalopathy. The first reported cases from boxing are from the 1930s, and we still see that in terms of boxing’s risk to CTE, and it’s no secret that there is an element of neurodegeneration,” he stated.
He added that there was no conclusion of what the risks would be and proceeded to make a speculation about the probability of risk having more of an impact for a person who is older.
“There’s no definitive of what the risks would be but as someone who is 57, there’s clearly going to be a risk in terms of that age profile of potentially having more of an impact for someone who’s older,” he said.

Additionally, the preparation for the fight alone at Tyson’s age could impact his reaction time, which naturally decreases with age but could be further affected by years of exposure to impact.
Jake Paul Speaks About Mike Tyson’s Health Scare
The Youtuber-turned-boxer set to face Tyson in July 20 said that the fight would take place as scheduled despite the boxer’s recent health scare.
As stated in multiple reports, the 27-year-old fighter has been quoted saying, “Nothing changed #PaulTyson.”
Tyson’s-Jake July 20 Boxing Match
Tyson is primed to return to the boxing ring for his first professional fight in nearly two decades where he will face 27-year-old Paul, in a blockbuster showdown at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Furthermore, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation has sanctioned the fight as a professional bout instead of an exhibition one, but it will be eight two-minute rounds instead of 10 or 12 rounds lasting three minutes each.
Tyson recently said he was behind that decision, saying: “I wanted the shorter rounds because I wanted more action, if we only have two minutes, we’ll fight more.”
Moreover, the gloves will be heavier, 14 ounces instead of 10, which is supposed to reduce the power of punches.
On his end, Paul insists that his fight with Tyson will be a huge event and will likely be a sell-out.
Mike Tyson has made great strides in the world of boxing, winning numerous tittles in the sport.
At only 20-years-old, Tyson became the youngest heavyweight champion in history. He is considered one of the greatest boxers of all time.
