Former Harambee Stars head coach Sebastien Migne has been appointed as the head coach of Haiti’s senior national team.
The announcement came from the Haitian Football Federation (FHF), which expressed confidence in Migne’s experience and expertise.
“The Haitian Football Federation (FHF) announces the appointment of Frenchman Sebastien Migné as the new coach of the senior men’s national team,” the FA said.
“Originally from the French commune of La Roche-sur-Yon, Sebastien Migné brings with him a rich and varied experience in the world of football.”
FHF highlighted Migne’s impressive resume, noting his extensive experience working with notable coaches such as Claude Le Roy and Jean-Pierre Papin.
“His hard work and commitment have been rewarded with significant successes, including winning the Persian Gulf Cup with the Oman team,” FHF added.
The FHF expressed optimism that Migne’s appointment would inject new energy into the national team.
“With his impressive record and his passion for football, the Federation is convinced that Sebastien Migne will bring new impetus to the national team and help us achieve new successes on the international scene, ” FA stated.

Sebastien Migne Career Before Haiti
Before being appointed by Haiti, Migne was serving as an assistant coach of Cameroon Football team.
The former Harambee Stars’ coach journey in football began after a playing career in France and England, transitioning into coaching roles where he honed his tactical expertise.
Migne’s venture into African football began with the DR Congo national under-20 team, where he made history by becoming the first coach to guide the team to the continental championships.

He held the position of assistant manager for DR Congo from September 15, 2011, to March 25, 2013.
Migne also fulfilled the role of assistant coach with Togo from April 7, 2016, until March 6, 2017.
In March 2017, he took on the helm of the Congo national team, aiming to harness the potential of the squad on the international stage.
However, his managerial tenure was short-lived, as he departed the role just a year later in March 2018, seeking new opportunities and challenges.
Migne had previously worked as Claude LeRoy’s assistant with Congo from 6th December 2013 until 18th November 2015.
Migne Taking Over Harambe Stars
The turning point in Migne’s African coaching journey came on May 3, 2018, when he was appointed as the head coach of the Kenya national team, Harambee Stars.
Under his guidance, Kenya’s national team reached historic highs, qualifying for the 2019 CAN after a 15-year wait, and have been nominated at the CAF Awards as the Best Men’s Team of the Year.
Migne’s tactical acumen and leadership qualities were instrumental in elevating Kenya’s footballing stature on the continental stage.
Despite his achievements with Harambee Stars, Migne’s tenure concluded in August 2019, marking the end of a transformative era for Kenyan football.
On November 7, 2019, Migne embarked on a new challenge as the coach of the Equatorial Guinea national team, embracing the opportunity to shape yet another footballing narrative in Africa. He later left the club on 4th June 2020.
His tenure with the Nzalang Nacional symbolized his continued commitment to nurturing footballing talent and fostering success on the international stage.
He was later appointed by Marumo Gallants as a head coach from July 2021- October 2021.
However, he faced a setback when he was dismissed by Marumo Gallants shortly before the club’s second-round 2021–22 CAF Confederation Cup game against AS Vita Club.
The decision came amidst the team’s struggle to secure victories in the league and reported conflicts within the coaching staff.
