Vincent Kabore was the referee in the TotalEnergies African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 match between Harambee Stars and Morocco at Kasarani Stadium on August 10, 2025.
Harambee Stars won the game by a single goal, but Kabore was a topic after the match.
Kabore sent off Crispine Erambo and overturned a penalty he initially awarded to Harambee Stars after viewing the Video Assistant Referee (VAR).
He also issued four yellow cards, all to Moroccan players, for different reasons during the match.
Kabore is a referee from Burkina Faso.
He is among the 26 referees selected by the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) to officiate CHAN matches.
CAF picked a total of 70 match officials, including 26 assistant referees, and 18 Video Match Officials (VMOs) representing over 30 CAF Member Associations across the continent.

He officiated at the U17 Africa Cup of Nations during the 2024/25 cycle.
He officiated Senegal vs Gambia and Zambia vs Morocco at the group stages.
Kabore was also the referee at the final between Egypt and Angola.
He issued 8 yellow cards and one red card in the three matches, translating to 2.7 yellow cards and 0.3 red cards per game.
CAF Champions League
Kabore has also been in charge of CAF Champions League matches.
He was the referee during the clash between Niger’s As Sonidep and Mogadishu of Somalia in the 2020/21 qualifying round.
He also officiated the first match between Nigeria’s Plateau United and SM Port-Gentil of Gabon in 2022/23.
In August 2023, he refereed a preliminary round match between Ghana’s Medeama SC and Nigeria’s Remo Stars FC.

He issued six yellow, two each, for the three CAF Champions League games.
Kabore has also made one appearance in the Wiener Stadtliga is a football league in Austria, specifically in Vienna (Wien).

He also officiated a WAFU Zone B Cup of Nations Group B encounter between Ghana and Nigeria in Benin.
