Africa’s largest electric vehicle company, Spiro, has announced a strategic collaboration with Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Davido at the Africa CEO Forum 2025.
In a Press release on 13 May 2025, Spiral Company confirmed that the new launches are highlighting Spiral’s capacity in providing market-relevant solutions tailored to diverse customer segments.
This powerful collaboration unites Africa’s leading voice in sustainable transportation with one of the continent’s most influential cultural icons, as they drive the message of clean energy, innovation, and empowerment across Africa.
During the Forum, Spiro unveiled a new generation of electric vehicles, developed in collaboration with international music artist and entrepreneur Davido. Davido will serve as an ambassador and strategic partner.

Through the Press release, Davido said that when Spiro contacted him for deals, it was not just about the big brand but the motive, goal, and idea of making bikes electric.
Hence, making them look cool for the youth stood out to him since he has been riding for the past two months and he understands how efficient bikes are.

“When I was contacted by Spiro, it wasn’t just about how the big brand was, it was about the motive and the goal”, “The idea of making the bikes electric and making them look cool for the youth stood out. I’ve been riding for the past two months, and I know how efficient they are. It’s made in Africa; it does not get better than that,” Davido said
Kaushik Burman To Davido
On the other hand, Spiro’s CEO, Kaushik Burman, expressed his satisfaction to Davido and the team, stating that the bikes are going to be made by Africans in Africa for the African terrains, hoping that it’s going to be the start renaissance industrial transformation in Africa.

Spiro’s Entries
The company has also announced market entry in Tanzania and Cameroon as part of its strategy to enhance access to clean and affordable mobility.
The company will also launch a new assembly plant in Uganda, Nigeria and Rwanda
Additionally, Spiro has also developed Spiro Maps, an IoT-based digital platform built in Kenya, Nigeria, and India, and has integrated Agentic AI into several operational areas to improve efficiency and decision-making across its services.

In reflection of this commitment to women’s empowerment, Spiro has signed a Memorandum of Understanding between Spiro Academy and SEPHIS Foundation, under the Shero Programme.
The initiative aims to support women entrepreneurs across Africa by strengthening collaboration and accelerating financial inclusion and business growth in the sector.
