President William Ruto has been called out for failing to honor his pledge to help musician Peter ‘Miracle Baby’ Mwangi meet his medical needs.
US-based social media personality Bernice Saroni called out President Ruto who had pledged to settle Miracle Baby’s hospital bill till his full recovery.
In a video seen by The Kenya Times, Bernice said that Miracle Baby’s partner Carol Katrue reached out to her seeking help regarding the musician’s medical condition.
She said that Katrue informed her that they did not have money to buy an ostomy bag for the former Gengetone artist.
Ostomy bags are crucial for patients recovering after small or large intestines surgery and are used for taking out body waste for a short while by patients as they heal.
Saroni narrated that she was left wondering how Miracle Baby was in such a situation, yet the Head of State reached out to help him.
“Carol Katrue reached out to me last night. So, we have been talking. Yesterday Caro was stressed so she called me and told me Peter doesn’t have the ostomy bag, it is leaking, and they don’t have money to buy,” Bernice Saroni said.

The US-based media personality said she questioned Katrue why the situation had turned out that way stating that she expected the President to take care of the bill.
Saroni reveals conversation with Carol Katrue
Saroni noted that Carol informed her that the help they were promised by the Head of State never came through.
According to her, they only received the Ksh300,000 cash that they were given by Ruto through former Starehe Member of Parliament (MP) Charles Jaguar.
“Caro told me there was nothing like that they were all fictious stories. Yes, they received the Ksh300,000 but the hospital was not paid. And I was like ‘I think need to come out and tell people what is going on, the truth so that people can help you,” added Saroni.
The mother of four further challenged Ruto to set the record straight about his pledge to help Peter, while tagging former MP Jaguar and artist KRG the Don who went to Miracle Baby’s house to rescue him on Ruto’s directive.
Following the confession, she went live on social media platform TikTok to fundraise for Miracle Baby where she managed to raise Ksh67,000 during the session with her fans.

Ruto pledges support
On March 5, 2024, Jaguar was accompanied by a group of artists and popular comedian Chipukeezy when he delivered a total sum of Ksh300,000 to the ailing Miracle Baby.
“Yesterday I accompanied Hon.Charles kanyi aka jaguar to deliver President William Ruto’s support for musician Miracle Baby who has been unwell for a while,” posted Chipukeezy on his social media account.
Additionally, Jaguar revealed that not only did the President cover the artist’s hospital bills but pledged to support him until his full recovery.
Miracle Baby who had undergone surgery was transferred at the Kenyatta National Hospital for specialized medical care.
