President William Ruto has unveiled the second batch of cabinet nominees after the dismissal of former Cabinet Secretaries on July 11.
In an address from State House, the head of state submitted the names of the second batch for consideration and approval by the National Assembly for appointment as Cabinet Secretaries.
Ruto said that the nominees were chosen after further consultation with different stakeholder.
John Mbadi Ng’ongo has been nominated to the Ministry of National Treasury and Economic Planning, while Salim Mvurya has been nominated as the CS in the Ministry of Investments, Trade and Industry.
Rebecca Miano moves to the Ministry of Tourism while James Opiyo Wandayi has been named as designated CS in the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum.

At the same time, Kipchumba Murkomen has been nominated to the Ministry of Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports, Hassan Joho to the ministry of Mining, Blue economy and Maritime Affairs and Alfred Nganga Mutua to the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.
Also, former Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Ambetsa Oparanya has been nominated to lead the Ministry of Co-operatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Development, while Justin Bedan Muturi has been nominated to the Ministry of Public Service and Human Capital Development
Stella Soi Lang’at has been nominated to the Ministry of Gender, Culture, the Arts and Heritage.

Previously Nominated Cabinet Secretaries by Ruto
Individuals who were named in the first batch on cabinet nominees included Kithure Kindiki who was nominated back to the Interior ministry, while Aden Duale, although nominated to the Defence ministry was transferred to the Environment Ministry.
Rabecca Miano was nominated as the Attorney General to replace Justin Muturi. Deborah Mulongo Barasa was nominated the CS for Health, Alice Wahome was nominated to the Lands, Public Works, Housing and Urban Development ministry and Julius Ogamba was nominated to the Education ministry.
Moreover, Andrew Muhia Karanja was nominated as CS for Agriculture, Soipan Tuya was nominated as Defence CS, Davis Chirchir was nominated to Roads and transport docket, Margaret Nyambura was nominated to the ICT ministry and Eric Murithi Muga was nominated to the Ministry of Water and sanitation previously held by Zachariah Njeru
