In the Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, including Nairobi County, residents should expect periods of rain interspersed with cloudy conditions and occasional sunshine.
The Northeastern region is also expected to receive rainfall in some areas, though it may be less widespread than in other parts of the country.
Showers may develop in isolated pockets in the Southeastern Lowlands.
Isolated Storms Likely in Rain-Affected Areas
The Kenya Met Department has also highlighted the possibility of isolated thunderstorms developing in areas experiencing rainfall.
These storms are expected to occur mainly in the afternoon and early evening.
According to the forecast, the storms may be accompanied by brief heavy downpours, gusty winds, and reduced visibility in some locations.
The department notes that while not all areas will experience storms, those that do may see short periods of intense rainfall.
Kenya Met explained that these conditions are typical during transitional weather phases, where localized heating during the day contributes to storm development later in the afternoon.
