The Kenya Meteorological (Kenya Met) Department has released a seven-day weather outlook for the period between 11th and 17th February 2025.
Predominantly sunny and dry weather conditions are expected across most parts of the country.

However, occasional rainfall may be observed in the Highlands West and East of the Rift Valley, the Lake Victoria Basin, the Rift Valley, the Southeastern lowlands, and the Coastal region at the beginning of the forecast period.
Daytime maximum temperatures exceeding 30°C are expected in the Coastal region, North-Eastern and North-Western areas, the South-Eastern lowlands, and parts of the Highlands West of the Rift Valley.

In some areas of the Highlands East of the Rift Valley, the Central Rift Valley, and the South-Eastern lowlands, average night-time minimum temperatures are expected to drop below 10°C.
Lake Victoria, Central & South Rift
Mostly sunny intervals are expected during the day, though a few areas may experience afternoon showers and thunderstorms.

Nights will generally be partly cloudy during the forecast period.
Counties in these regions include Nandi, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Siaya, Busia, Nakuru, Trans-Nzoia, Kisii, Nyamira, Kericho, Bomet, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori and Narok Counties.
North & West Rift Valley
Sunny intervals are expected during the day in the North and part of the West Rift Valley while nights are likely to be partly cloudy.
This included Uasin-Gishu, Elgeyo-Marakwet, Baringo and West-Pokot counties.

Weather Forecast for Nairobi & it Environs
Mainly sunny intervals are expected to prevail in the Highlands East of the Rift Valley including Nairobi County during the day.
However, a few areas are likely to receive afternoon showers at the beginning of the forecast period.
Nights are expected to be partly cloudy throughout the forecast period.
Other counties in this region include Nyandarua, Nyeri, Laikipia, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu and Tharaka-Nithi.
North-Eastern
Kenya Met predicts sunny intervals are expected during the day and partly cloudy in North-eastern Kenya.
“Occasional rains are likely over few places at the beginning of the forecast period,” said the Weatherman.
Counties in this region include Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa and Isiolo.
Turkana and Samburu Counties will experience sunny conditions during the day while nights are likely to be partly cloudy.

Eastern
The weatherman predicts dunny intervals during the day in the South-eastern lowlands.
However, a few areas may experience afternoon showers at the start of the forecast period.
Nights are expected to remain partly cloudy throughout the seven-day period.
The region covers Machakos, Kitui, Makueni, Kajiado and Taita-Taveta counties as well as the inland parts of Tana-River County.
Coast
Sunny intervals will dominate most of the day in coastal counties with occasional light morning showers in some areas at the start of the forecast period (especially on Wednesday and Thursday).
Nights are expected to remain partly cloudy.
Counties in this area include Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu and Kwale Counties as well as the coastal parts of Tana River County.
