Businessman and politician Jimi Wanjigi has responded to a question on whether he would join the broad-based government proposed by President William Ruto and former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
In an interview on April 20, Wanjigi said his relationship with President Ruto is completely broken, and he cannot work with the Kenya Kwanza government.
He said he does not trust Ruto and joining his administration is a complete waste of time.
“He cannot change, and I do not trust the man. I think it is a waste of time; he should get out of the office. I will never work with that man,” Wanjigi said.
Wanjigi revealed that the last time he spoke to the President was in 2023 when he confronted him about the budget and drew the battle line.
Additionally, Wanjigi said he is not an expert, but rather a revolutionary determined to send the Kenya Kwanza government packing.
“No, I am a revolutionary, not an expert. I am coming to upset the whole thing and turn it upside down,” he said.
“Many people tell me I should not talk like this, but this is who I am. I am coming to remove everything.”
Jimi Wanjigi’s Ambition for Kenya
Wanjigi said the country will not be the same under his administration, adding that he will change everything.
The Politician said he was quiet to allow Kenyans to observe the political arena.
Additionally, he said the Gen Z revolution was beyond regions and changed political dynamics.
He explained that the silence was to see whether Kenyans had understood what happened in 2024.

“I wanted Kenyans to see whether they have understood what happened. Judging by the political players that are going on, they have not understood, Wanjigi said.
“In fact, they’ve gone back to the way it was before the revolution in many instances. They have not understood.”
Besides, Wanjigi said the opposition will come out and ensure Kenyans understand that this is a period for economic justice.
He said another revolution is coming against President Ruto’s administration.

Kenyans Have Once Chance
According to Wanjigi, Kenyans have one chance, and they must understand that it is time for economic emancipation.
“This is a period for that revolution, no other. We are going to be very active, vocal, and proactive,” he said.
“I’m sure he will raid us a million times. He will hurt us a million times, try and hurt us a million times. Because we are going to agitate where it hurts.”
Wanjigi said the opposition is trying to make sure that they bring the election to 2026.
