The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has dismissed claims by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) that the US aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln was targeted and rendered inoperable.
The response comes after IRGC spokesperson Ali Mohammad Naeini alleged that the carrier had been struck on March 14 by the IRGC Navy and forced to retreat.
CENTCOM rejected the claim, saying the carrier strike group remains fully operational and continues its mission in the region.
CENTCOM Accuses IRGC of Spreading False Claims
In a statement responding to the allegations, CENTCOM said the Iranian military organization was repeating misinformation.

“The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps not only fabricates the same old lies, but with even more lies, it also contradicts its previous statements,” CENTCOM said.
The command emphasized that the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group remains active and continues to maintain operational control over the surrounding airspace from the sea.
“Let us be clear: the Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group continues to maintain complete dominance over Iran’s airspace from the expanse of the sea,” added CENTCOM.
IRGC Spokesman Claims Carrier Was Disabled
Earlier, IRGC spokesperson Ali Mohammad Naeini claimed that the carrier had been struck by the IRGC Navy during an overnight operation.
He also accused the United States of downplaying military incidents involving its forces and equipment.
“Last night, the U.S. aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln was targeted by the IRGC Navy and has been rendered inoperable, now heading back to its point of origin. An enemy that announces its soldiers’ deaths as “mild traumatic brain injuries’ would naturally also dismiss the chaos aboard the Gerald Ford, the fire onboard, and casualties from friendly fire – and now, with the same excuse, labels the destruction of its tanker as a ‘technical malfunction’ and now, with the same excuse, labels the destruction of its tanker as a “technical malfunction.”
US aircraft carriers, including the USS Abraham Lincoln, are among the most prominent symbols of American naval power and have been deployed in the Middle East Region amid the Operation Epic Fury led by Washington and Jerusalem against Tehran.

Rising Political and Global Pressure on Trump
U.S. President Donald Trump is facing several major challenges as the Washinton remains in conflict with Tehran.
The nation’s rejection of diplomatic ceasefire efforts has left the war without an immediate end in sight, even as some Middle Eastern nations tried to open talks to end the fighting.
Members of Congress have also demanded more details from the White House on the objectives and duration of the war.
Meanwhile, Iran has launched missiles and drones toward Israeli and U.S targets, escalating the confrontation between Donald Trump’s administration and the Iranian government.
Casualties among U.S soldiers have increased as the attack continues raising more reasons as to why President Donald Trump should find a way to end the war, according to his critics.
Missile and drone attacks launched by Iranian forces and allied groups have targeted military bases and key installations in the region.

Is it really a surprise to anyone that a sovereign nation that just had its entire government killed isn’t interested in a “diplomatic solution?” I’m afraid this isn’t a can of worms of the 3-week variety, even for the Deal Artist in Chief.
