Detectives based in East Lands, Nairobi county are piecing up evidence after a woman was found murdered in Mowlem area.
The body of 26-year-old Pamela Asesa was found with injuries on the neck on Monday, July 11 with a preliminary assessment indicating that she might have been strangled.
The lady’s mouth was stuffed with a piece of clothing.
Addressing the media, neighbours say the woman’s ex-boyfriend was seen leaving the house before the discovery of the body.
Nairobi police boss James Mugera said they are pursuing the ex-lover to grill him over the incident.
The woman’s current boyfriend is reported to have been at his place of work when she was murdered.
Upon getting home from work, the boyfriend reportedly found the door locked from inside.
After failing to reach his girlfriend Pamela, the boyfriend broke the door only to discover her lifeless body.
The body of the woman was moved to the mortuary pending investigations.
