The body of a 22-year-old University student who went missing has been found floating in a river within the outskirts of Bomet town.
Bomet Central sub-county deputy police commandant Ali Bashir noted that the deceased, Mary Ann Wangari went missing last week on Tuesday, prompting a search that went futile.
Wangari, a fourth-year student pursuing communication and public relations, was set to sit her final exams a week before she went missing.

Her decomposing body was discovered floating in a river in the Chebirir area by a local resident who informed the police.
“The body was discovered by a member of the public who proceeded to inform the police,” Bashir stated.
The body of the deceased was moved to a nearby morgue pending an autopsy.
