Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene fired back at President Donald Trump on Thursday by quoting his own words against Tucker Carlson.
Greene replied to a post from the Tucker Carlson Network that boasted about the host’s independent reach.
The post said Carlson now averages 56.8 million views per episode across social media and podcast platforms.
That number dwarfs his old peak of roughly 3.3 million nightly viewers on Fox News.
“Pretty impressive for a low-IQ guy that is unpopular,” Greene wrote on X on April 30.
The remark directly mirrors Trump’s recent attacks on Carlson. In April, amid growing criticism of his Iran policy, Trump called Carlson a “low IQ person,” “highly overrated,” and “easy to beat.”
He attacked Carlson together with Megyn Kelly, Candace Owens, and Alex Jones, labeling them “stupid people” who opposed stronger action against Iran.
The fallout is tied to Trump’s decision to launch military strikes on Iran. Carlson and other America First voices accused the president of breaking his campaign promise to prevent new wars.

According to Carlson, Trump deployed the U.S. Forces in the Middle East to fight for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
He said American soldiers do not deserve to die in foreign countries fighting wars that are not meant for the U.S.
Carlson went further, urging government officials to refuse orders they saw as reckless. Greene and Owens have also pushed back hard on the escalation.
Trump hit back in a series of sharp Truth Social posts as he mocked Carlson’s influence and pointed to polls showing declining favorability among Republicans.
At one point, he suggested ranking MAGA figures as “good, bad, or somewhere in the middle.”
Trump also maintained that the Epic Fury operation against Iran was necessary because Iran was getting closer to owning weapons of mass destruction, the nukes.
Greene uses Trump’s own words to mock him
Greene’s sarcastic reply on Thursday turned Trump’s insult into a jab at the president himself. She implied that if Carlson is truly low IQ and unpopular, his massive viewership makes no sense.
In 2023, Carlson quit Fox News. Since then, he has built his own platform where he posts long interviews and monologues on YouTube, X, and his website.
Supporters say that the 56.8 million number shows that independent media is better than cable news.
Critics say the number is misleading because it mixes different types of traffic and includes a lot of international traffic, such as translated versions that are popular in markets where English is not the first language.
Some Trump allies quickly pushed back against Greene’s post, noting that Trump still dominates raw engagement numbers on social media.
One reply listed Trump’s daily averages in the hundreds of millions or billions of interactions, far outpacing Carlson.

Others accused Carlson of relying on foreign viewers or even “Qatar-funded” audiences, a repeated claim in conservative circles.
The exchange shows a widening split inside the MAGA world, with one side standing Trump loyalists who say the president must project strength abroad, especially against Iran.
On the other hand are isolationist voices who warn that new wars drain American resources and betray the “no additional endless wars” message that helped elect Trump.
Greene has been one of the most vocal Trump supporters on most issues until recently, when she began publicly opposing him. She has broken with him on foreign policy and other matters.
Her defense of Carlson puts her nearer to the populist critics who once formed the core of Trump’s base.
Carlson has not directly responded to Greene’s post. His network simply shared the viewership graphic and let the numbers speak for themselves.
