President Donald Trump sharply escalated his warning to Iran on Saturday, June 27, saying the country “will no longer exist” if it continues violating the ceasefire agreement after U.S. forces carried out another round of strikes on Iranian military targets.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump said American aircraft had struck Iranian missile and drone storage sites as well as coastal radar installations after what he described as another breach of the ceasefire.
He suggested Washington’s patience was wearing thin and warned that subsequent violations could bring a much fiercer military response.
Trump Escalates Warning After Fresh U.S. Airstrikes
“United States aircraft just struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations, and coastal radar sites, for violating the Cease Fire Agreement, AGAIN!” Trump wrote.
“It is very possible that they will never learn! There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable and will be forced to complete the job we started militarily. If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist!”
President Says Iran ‘Will No Longer Exist’ if Ceasefire Collapses
Trump did not elaborate on what he meant by saying the “Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist” if further military action becomes necessary.
The Kenya Times contacted the White House to request clarification on whether the president was referring to expanded military operations, regime change, or another policy objective. The White House had not responded by publication.
The remarks marked Trump’s most serious public threat since Washington and Tehran agreed to a temporary ceasefire and signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at ending months of fighting and restoring commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.
The statement came hours after U.S. Central Command announced fresh strikes on Iranian military targets following another reported drone attack on a commercial oil tanker near the Strait of Hormuz.
The memorandum of understanding was intended to halt military operations, reopen the Strait of Hormuz to commercial traffic, and create space for negotiations on Iran’s nuclear program and sanctions relief.

The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world’s most strategically important maritime routes, carrying roughly one-fifth of global oil shipments.
Any disruption to commercial traffic through the narrow passage can quickly affect global energy markets, shipping costs, and fuel prices.
Trump’s warning also adds new uncertainty to planned diplomatic discussions between Washington and Tehran.
The ceasefire created a 60-day window for negotiators to address Iran’s nuclear activities and possible sanctions relief while reducing the risk of direct military conflict.

His reference to “completing the job” signaled that future responses might not remain limited to missile depots, drone facilities, and radar installations.
Iran has not immediately responded to Trump’s latest remarks.
Tehran has previously accused the United States of heightening tensions through its military presence in the Gulf and has defended its actions as necessary to protect its interests.
