As Deputy Executive Director WAN-IFRA Women in News Jane oversees all global operations across Africa, Southeast Asia and Arab regions. She also oversees all activities and programmes for Director Africa Region, while also serving as organization's sexual harassment expert.

She is a journalist, editor and trainer and former Deputy Managing Editor for The Standard Group in Kenya. She previously served as the Capacity Building Manager, for WAN-IFRA WIN Africa, as well as Project Manager for East and Central Africa and Coach for Kenya.
