The latest rankings of the best-performing Members of the National Assembly (MPs) have been released. In an event presided over by Infotrak, the polling company ranked Embakasi East MP Babu Owino as the best legislator, scoring 72%.
Owino was closely followed by Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, who scored 71%.

At number three, two Members of Parliament tied at 62%—Kabuchai MP Joseph Simiyu and Kathiani MP Robert Mbui.
At number five, four legislators tied at 61%—Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba, Sirisia MP John Waluke, Mumias East MP Peter Salasya, and Mbooni MP Erastus Nzioka.

Babu Ranked the Best Performing MP
Four MPs tied at number nine, each scoring 60%—Wundanyi MP Danson Mwakuwona, Taveta MP John Okano, Saboti MP Caleb Hamisi, and Kitui Central MP Makali Mulu.
During the event, Babu Owino was seated alongside several politicians, including Kirinyaga Woman Representative Njeri Maina, Makueni Senator Dan Maanzo, Kitutu Chache South MP Anthony Kibagendi, and Kirinyaga Senator Kamau Murango.

Other elected leaders who attended the event include Majority Chief Whip in the National Assembly Sylvanus Osoro, Mukurweini MP, John Kagucia and Mumia East MP, Peter Salasya.
The best performing Senators according to the poll stars is Makueni Senator Dan Maanzo tying with Kirinyaga Senator Kamau Murango with 52 %.
The best performing Women Representative is Kirinyaga Woman Representative Njeri Maina with 52%.
The release of the MPs performance ranking comes a day after Infotrak released the governors’ performance rankings.
Kang’ata Ranked the Best Governor
According to the latest Infotrak County Performance Index for 2024, Murang’a Governor Irungu Kang’ata was recognized as the best-performing governor in Kenya, receiving an approval rating of 68%. This positions him at the top in terms of impact and performance in devolution.
Following Kang’ata, Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya achieved a rating of 64%, while Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga received a rating of 61%. The survey evaluated various aspects of county governance, including service delivery, public participation, and resource management.
