Youth in Kakamega County on Monday, June 24 stormed a meeting looking for Malava Constituency Member of Parliament (MP) Malulu Injendi.
The meeting organized by Kakamega Woman Representative Elsie Muhanda turned into chaos after the youth chanted ‘Malulu Must Go.
This is because the legislator voted YES during the voting session in parliament for the Finance Bill 2024.
In a video seen by The Kenya Times, the youth could be seen carrying placards dubbed “Traitor, Malulu Tawe”
The youth could also be seen carrying leaves while going round in circles with motorbike sirens being on the background.

Youth Vows to Go After MPs who Voted Yes
This comes after the finance bill was passed by the majority during the second reading with youth vowing to go after the MPs who voted YES.
Consequently, the constituents planned on Monday June 24 to visit the offices of MPs who supported the bill, encouraging them to “Endelea hivyo hivyo!” (Keep it up!).
They also planned to boycott businesses of these MPs and start collecting signatures to recall them.

The Finance Bill 2024, initially presented to parliament in May, has sparked discontent with an increase in an array of taxes and levies for Kenyans.
After the voting, some Government officials and MPs have found themselves being heckled at and booed by the members of the public in various events.
Govt Officials Heckled by Gen Z
Sports CS, Ababu Namwamba on Friday June 21 encountered a hostile crowd during a memorial show held for the late comedian Fred Omondi.
His sentiments and money donations were not received warmly by the crowd as he was continuously interrupted with ‘Ruto Must Go’ chants from the crowd.
On June 23 President William Ruto and His Deputy Rigathi Gachagua beefed up security for a church service at ACK Diocese of Nyahururu in Laikipia County.
Police officers were seen conducting security checks at the gates as residents line up to be searched one by one to ensure they were not carrying any harmful items.
According to reports, congregants who attended the service were subjected to a mandatory security search.

Earlier, police officers mounted roadblocks on major roads near Nyahururu town ahead of planned #occupynyahururu protests.
Officers were also deployed to Nyahururu, especially in the areas bordering the church, to ensure no protests occurred during the president’s visit.
On Tuesday, June 25, a national strike is planned with the hashtag #OccupyParliament and #TotalShutdownKenya.
Organizers of the Generation Z-led protests are calling for a nationwide day off, urging parents to keep children home in solidarity.
The protests have seen significant participation from young Kenyans who are using digital media to organize and voice their opposition.
