Kalonzo Defends Noordin Haji, Throws Ruto Under the Bus

Wiper Party Leader Kalonzo Musyoka has defended Director General of the National Intelligence Service (NIS) Noordin Haji and thrown President William Ruto under the bus over the abduction of Public Service CS Justin Muturi’ s son Leslie Muturi.

Kalonzo questioned how President William Ruto would stand in a pavilion and make one call away to release Muturi’s son.

“The revelations by Muturi on the identity of the Commander-in-Chief of the abduction squad are quite telling. If the then Attorney General cannot get answers to the whereabouts of his son, then who can? If Muturi cannot get his phone calls answered by junior staff such as the DG of NIS or the DCI, then who can?” Kalonzo posed.

The Wiper party leader alleged that William Ruto is the Commander in chief of the abductions squad which has been clearly demonstrated by his own public pronouncements on abductions and as well as of his consisted “cronies” in government.

Kalonzo Defends Noordin Haji, Throws Ruto Under the Bus

He added that Noordin Haji should not carry the blame for abducting Muturi’s son, but rather Ruto, as he is the Head of State.

“Ruto’s dictatorship, which now allegedly involves kidnapping and torturing people in underground prisons, must be considered as a surrogate criminal enterprise in accordance with the ICC’s Rome Statute,” he added.

“For the avoidance of doubt, the Director General of NIS cannot be held responsible alone. The ICC Statute speaks of those bearing the highest responsibility, and that person is not Noordin Haji, but William Samoei Ruto.”

Kalonzo went on to question the state of the Kenya Kwanza regime if the then Interior CS, Kithure Kindiki and PS Raymond Omollo are furnished with lies from their juniors.

He stated the ruling regime has established commands and controlled structures outside of the constitution of Kenya carrying our illegal and criminal activities against Kenyans.

“We have established that some headquarters of these abductions was somewhere near Ruraka,” he alleged.

The vocal Kenya Kwanza critic stated that President Ruto must respect the constitution and protect Kenyans, or else he should resign.

“We demand that Ruto respects Kenyans and upholds the oath of office he swore to preserve under Kenya’s 2010 constitution, and ensure the release of all remaining abductees,” Kalonzo affirmed.

“If Ruto refuses to respect and enforce Kenya’s constitution and the laws, the solution is straightforward—he should resign.”

This comes after Muturi, in a recorded statement to the DCI, revealed that he decided to physically visit State House to urge the President to take action on the matter.

It was subsequently disclosed that the National Intelligence Service (NIS) was holding his son.

“The President joked, asking why anyone would want to arrest a young person over the Gen Z demonstrations. He even mentioned that Kiunjuir’s son and the sons of other officials had been involved in similar demonstrations,” he noted.

“Standing outside the pavilion, I heard the President ask Haji if he was holding my son, Noordin confirmed, that indeed he was holding my son and the President instructed him to release Leslie immediately. Noordin responded that Leslie would be released within an hour,” the CS added.
