Popular content creator and actress Tabitha Gatwiri has passed away.
Gatwiri died after falling ill two days ago. Further reports revealed that the actress was found dead inside her house by her brother.

Gatwiri’s body is currently lying at the Kenyatta University morgue.
Alex Mathenge confirmed the news of her demise on his official Instagram page stating, “Go Well Gatwiri. Fly with the angel’s ‘Celeb’”.

In a separate post, Mathenge shared a video of a vehicle entering the morgue.
Kenyans Mourn Tabitha Gatwiri
Content creator Kelvin Kinuthia also confirmed her death, writing, “I don’t even know how to type this. One minute you are here with us the next minute you are gone. You may be gone now, but we know your soul will always be here.”

He added, “Always live, in my mind. Rest in peace Tabitha Gatwiri. Words cannot express the sorrow I feel for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.”

The last video skit Gatwiri posted was on Wednesday October 29, 2024, captioned Kipenzi Merimela.
Kenyans and her fans took to social media to mourn the late with many describing her as a person with a lively personality.
Comedian MC Bull also mourned Gatwiri, sharing details of their recent conversation.
“Can’t believe you’re no more. It’s just last month we talked about our planned shoot. I am Sad; I don’t have words. Your talent will be missed. May God give your family strength at this trying moment. R.I.P Tabitha Gatwiri,” he wrote.
Businessman Mwenda Thuranira also shared his tribute stating, “I’m struggling to come to terms with the sudden loss of my sister and friend, Tabitha Gatwiri TABS She was a true light to reckon for the younger generations, known for her incredible talent, discipline, and hard work.”
“She truly represented the Meru community on the Kenyan stage.”

Little Known Details About the Content Creator
Gatwiri, 29, was known for her comedy skits, which she shares on various social media platforms and YouTube.
Her first skit to go viral was the one she was talking about her university boyfriend and his romantic language.
“It wasn’t actually about an actual boyfriend but just comedy,” she said in a past interview.
Gatwiri also revealed that she studied education at university but does not intend to practice it, as she currently has no passion for the field.
“There is something about my Meru accent. I never used to have it while in campus, but I guess it was born out of a habit when I started creating videos. I don’t even notice it anymore,” she said earlier.
In 2021 she was awarded the Prestigious YouTube Award dubbed Silver Button or Plaque.
