Azimio leader Raila Odinga has issued a warning to President William Ruto’s administration over continued abductions in the country.
Speaking during a prayer meeting held on his behalf on Monday, February 10, Raila questioned the police service, saying that they had failed to protect the Kenyan youth.

“This issue of abducting Kenyans and the youth. Arresting them and killing them. This issue must stop immediately in this country,” said Raila.
Further, he raised an alarm over the integrity of the police, noting that they had continuously denied having knowledge of the cases, yet they were meant to investigate them.

“We cannot tolerate people being abducted now and then.
“Who are these people who are abducting the youth? The police are saying that they don’t know. If they don’t know who is doing this, then how are we supposed to report the cases to the police? This must stop,” added the Azimio leader.

Raila Endorses Sakaja
At the same time, Raila expressed his support to Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, urging him to keep up the good work.
“I want Nairobi to remain strong. My son (Sakaja), I want him to hold on to that seat and do a good job,” said Raila.
Moreover, Raila admitted that whether he lost or won the chairmanship, he would still consider himself victorious.
“I have gone around Africa and spoken to various leaders. If they accept them I will be the chairman of the African Union and the elections will be on Saturday, February 15. I will go and fight. If I am chosen then it is well.
“If I am not chosen then it will still be well. I will stand firm. Whether we win or not, we are still victorious,” he declared.
Raila is determined to solve Africa’s greatest problems as chairman and believes that he is the right man for the job.
“Africa has so many problems and the problems that we have in Kenya are the same in so many other countries and my goal is to look for those solutions.”
