David Ochieng is a Kenyan politician, lawyer, and current Member of Parliament for Ugenya Constituency.
He burst into the political scene in 2013 at the young age of 28 by winning the Ugenya parliamentary seat on an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket, replacing the then Siaya Governor James Orengo.
Professionally, Ochieng is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and the leader of the Movement for Democracy and Growth.

David Ouma Ochieng studied at Burang’a school for the KCPE certificate. He went ahead to Butula Secondary for the KCSE certificate.
He joined Moi University and pursued Law, where he graduated in 2006.
David Ochieng earned his Master of Science degree in Biology of Conservation from the University of Nairobi between 2009 and 2012.
He also holds a Bachelor of Laws degree, which he obtained before his legal training.
After completing his law degree, he qualified as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, equipping him for his career in law and politics.
Career life
Ruweida Mohammed built a distinguished aviation career before entering politics.
From 2000 to 2005, she worked as a pilot at Kijipwa Aviation, flying aircraft including the PA-28 and C-150.
She then joined Mombasa Air Safari, serving as First Officer (2006–2014) and later Line Captain (2008–2014), amassing over 2,000 to 3,000 flight hours.
In 2015, she founded Obo Aviation, where she has served as Captain and Chief Executive Officer since then.
Simultaneously, she was a Board Director at LAPFUND between 2015 and 2017.
Between 2017 and 2022, she served as the Lamu County Woman Representative, and later in 2022, she was elected as an MP.
In parliament, she is noted for sponsoring legislative initiatives such as the Wildlife Conservation and Management (Amendment) Bill in 2025.
