Meru Governor Kawira Mwangaza chose an unusual method to apologize to Members of the County Assembly (MCAs) on Wednesday, November 30.
Her apology came just hours after Meru High Court suspended the impeachment motion against her.
Governor Kawira who was holding public engagements on Ward Fund in Maua, paused midway and asked the pastor present to assist her in apologizing 70 times.
Moreover, her heartfelt apology was extended to all 69 MCAs and the Speaker.
Governor Kawira further asked all MCAs to forgive her if she had wronged them, and even invited them to a meeting to discuss the next steps.

Nonetheless, the motion to impeach the governor was based on grounds that the Meru County Assembly did not follow proper procedure in initiating the motion.
Kawira moved to court last week seeking orders to bar the County Assembly from debating her impeachment motion.
Through her lawyer Elias Mutuma she argued that the publication of the impeachment motion was called and signed by a stranger in the assembly acting as the clerk.
She also added that the assembly proved to have a predetermined mindset on the impeachment since 68 out of 69 MCAs had approved the motion.
