The Nairobi County Government has appointed Calvince Okoth as a member of the Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital Board, as part of a series of appointments to Nairobi hospital boards announced in a gazette notice dated April 16, 2026.
The appointments cover Level 4 and Level 5 hospitals across the county and were made by the County Executive Committee Member for Health Services, Suzanne Silantoi.
These new boards will serve a three-year term starting April 16, 2026, with all previous board appointments revoked.
“IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred section 9 (j) of the Facilities Improvements Financing Act, 2023 the County Executive Committee Member responsible for Health Services in Nairobi City County hereby appoints the listed persons as members of the respective Nairobi County Level 4 and Level 5 Hospital Boards, with effect from 16th April 2026, for a term of three (3) years,” the notice read in part.

According to the gazette notice, Calvince Okoth has been appointed a member of the Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital Board.

The facility is among several health institutions affected by the new governance changes.
Other hospitals affected by the restructuring include Mama Margaret Uhuru Hospital, Pumwani Maternity Hospital, Mbagathi Hospital, Mathare North Hospital, Lang’ata Sub-County Hospital, Westlands Hospital, and others within Nairobi City County.
