The class eight pupil whose viral video of him being brutally beaten by his teachers can now breath a sigh of relief after well-wishers came to his rescue.
This is after the wellwishers came together and contributed funds towards his tuition and upkeep after moving him to a new school.
A well-wisher who learnt of the boy’s suffering at the hands of his tutors at Nyamnina Primary school teamed up with his friends who facilitated the transfer to his new school.
Although the class eight pupil will join Serve Progressive Academy in Sabatia, Vihiga County, he will sit his KCPE exams at Nyamnina Primary School.
The learner was subjected to brutal corporal punishment by his teachers for not achieving 400 marks out of a possible 500 in exams.
The video of the boy being caned elicited a national uproar with learners arguing that he had been subjected to such punishments before.
“The more I keep on persevering, the more they continue beating me up. They should just let me score what I am capable of and not force me to score 400 marks,” the learner said.
